Role Overview:

The Business Development Manager’s role is a sales and support role reporting directly to the National Business Development Manager of CDS ensuring the smooth running of CDS’s operations and relationships with current and all prospective clients across Western Australia. This role has a significant focus on identifying and developing new business opportunities and relationships within the targeted market sector. This is an autonomous role with the benefit of significant support from senior management and all relevant CDS departments. An attractive salary package along with flexible working conditions & hours will be offered to the right candidate. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver key KPIs as set by NBDM.
  • Ongoing development of new business opportunities and customer relationships.
  • Managing the expectations of recycling depot owners and site operators.
  • Staff & Management Training of CDS equipment on a continuous platform of education and improvement.
  • Gatekeeper for any maintenance issues, citing any consistent issue for discussion and permanent solution.
  • Site establishment assistance with external contractors and upfront training of all site employees responsible for operating equipment.

Competencies:

  • Excellent time management skills
  • Excellent negotiation, relationship building and sales closing skills
  • Excellent IT knowledge including MS Office/Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Priority management adherence
  • Experience in the recycling/ waste management industries would be highly regarded but not essential.
