Danny Cox Bio

RIGHT MAN-RIGHT JOB

QUEENSLAND STATE MANAGER

Danny Cox’ appointment as the Queensland State Manager for CDS seems like a natural progression in his career.

Small Business Owner

Danny and his partner used to operate their own commercial cleaning business and they both learnt some important business principles, principles to which Danny still adheres.

Company Director

He used these principles when he became a director of a company involved in the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry and he’s still using them in his new position with CDS.

As a company director, he quickly learnt to appreciate the need for and links between sales, marketing, finance, operations, and manufacturing.

The Principles

- At the centre of the business is the customer
- Build good relationships
- Get the job done in a timely manner
- Underpromise and over deliver

Focus on the Depot Owners

Before taking up his new role with CDS, he’d spent twelve months working for the Containers for Change rollout focussing on business development opportunities. This role meant that he spent a lot of time working with Recycle Depot Owners, the same people who are now the focus of his work. He’s clearly developed a great appreciation of the demands on depot owners and has developed strategies for dealing with those demands.

A Plan-or Just Fate

A man has a passionate belief in the value of the container deposit scheme because of its impact on the environment. He gets a job rolling out the scheme working for Containers for Change and then starts working with people who are managing the depots where the containers are delivered.

It all seems like a plan.

Right Man-Right Job

Now based on  Queensland’s Gold Coast, Danny’s own business experiences and his business principles makes him a great fit to successfully assist depot owners to install and operate the CDS technology.
